چکیده
To broaden the scope of van der Waals 2D magnets, we report synthesis and magnetism covalent magnetic Cr2Te3 with a thickness down to one-unit-cell. The crystals exhibit robust ferromagnetism Curie temperature 180 K, large perpendicular anisotropy 7 × 105 J m−3, high coercivity ∼4.6 kG at 20 K. First principles calculations further show transition from canted collinear ferromagnetism, in-plane anisotropy, emergent half-metallic behavior in atomically-thin Cr2Te3, suggesting its potential application for injecting carriers spin polarization into spintronic devices.

Anomalous Hall Effect in a 2D Rashba Ferromagnet.
Skew scattering on rare impurity configurations is shown to dominate the anomalous Hall effect in a 2D Rashba ferromagnet. The mechanism originates in scattering on rare impurity pairs separated by distances of the order of the Fermi wavelength. The corresponding theoretical description goes beyond the conventional noncrossing approximation. The mechanism provides the only contribution to the a...

Density functional calculations have been performed to analyze the electronic and mechanical properties of a number of 2D boroxine-linked covalent organic frameworks (COFs), which are experimentally fabricated from di-borate aromatic molecules. Furthermore, the band structures are surprising and show flat-band characteristics which are mainly attributed to the delocalized π-conjugated electrons...
متن کاملReticular synthesis of microporous and mesoporous 2D covalent organic frameworks.
Reticular chemistry is concerned with linking molecular building blocks into predetermined periodic structures using strong bonds.1 This chemistry has led to the design and synthesis of new porous materials for which the composition, structure, metrics, and functionality can be systematically varied.2,3 The general nature of this approach is epitomized by the recent reports of covalent organic ...
